We quickly put him under the spotlight so that you can get to know him. Here’s what he had to tell us.

Q: What’s great about working within the EFT Finance team?

A: In no particular order…

Working with such a knowledgeable team, all who have diverse specialisms. If I ever have a question, there will be someone who has faced the same scenario before.

Being able to specialise in the areas I wish to work in and helping to rejuvenate and develop new areas for us to act in. In particular, learning and establishing myself within the aviation funding arena with the huge assistance of Austin Smith.

The soup supply in the office.

Q: How did you get into the finance/funding industry?

A: In a round about way. I sold a car to an Invoice Finance broker and we became good friends. Over the coming months, his bank approached me to see if I would be interested in joining them, and whilst the time and place were not compatible then, it piqued my interest in the industry. I was working with vehicle finance at the time anyway, and after further research, I decided to pursue a job in funding full-time. EFT Finance offered the correct environment, but importantly, also had the correct morals that I associate myself with.

Q: What is your area of expertise?

A: As well as general assets, the motoring industry is a big passion for me, and my primary expertise is cars, everything from a family car to supercars and classics. I have ongoing aviation clients and projects and developing my own network in this arena, and with my property background, this is an area I am also developing and have several ongoing property related clients.

Q: What is your pet hate?

A: When there is no soup in the office…

Q: What makes you laugh?

A: Nephew and Niece!

Q: What’s your favourite hobby and why?

A: I do lots of sport, but my mountain bike probably gives me the most amount of happiness, from the locations I have ridden at (Swiss/French/Italian Alps), the adrenaline when heading down a mountainside, and the community we all share.

Q: Before I get too old, I’d like to…

A: Compete in some classic car events or hill climbs, such as the Targa Florio, Bernina Gran Turismo or Goodwood Members meeting.
