Seem to have been working forever but this is the best job I have ever had; flexibility, providing a service, absence of unnecessary policies and processes and great colleagues.
Austin and I have worked together for 18 years, the past 10 at EFT. Our dynamic is one of trust and support and we enjoy ourselves - that’s why he never retires. Our team are the best in the industry, each of them has different aspirations and ambitions but we are all there to respect the differences and we all want each other to succeed.
Having held a number of senior positions in ‘results driven’ finance funders I am fortunate to have a great knowledge of the market and who to speak to when we have a deal or project that is out of the ordinary. We also have some very useful contacts so we can get to the core of an opportunity quickly.
In terms of me; I am the token Scot, I am told I am friendly and approachable, don’t take life too seriously and have two wonderful grown up daughters.

I started my career with Nat West Bank before moving to Asset Finance with Forward Trust (part of what is now HSBC Bank)
I was persuaded not to retire by my wife (!) and in practical terms I’m the Finance Director and general dogsbody in the office.
I spend too many weeks abroad either visiting my grandkids in Phoenix Arizona or playing exotic golf courses. In my defence I do take my laptop with me and work whilst holidaying.
I’m a season ticket holder at Brighton & Hove AFC and can be seen drowning my sorrows with real ale most winter Saturdays!
I embrace the philosophy of if you enjoy it….it isn’t work.
